In 1983 he took his boldest step yet. He left a senior position in a leading ad agency to become a partner in Publicité National Advertising - the company that eventually led to his own - Pinnacle Advertising and now Pinnacle Direct. For the next five years, Howard and his partner steadily built the business through varying economic times. In 1988 Pinnacle Direct, wholly owned by Howard Golberg, was established - its foundation being his reputation for delivering quality work on time and on budget. When the global recession of the late '80s and early '90s took hold, Howard reassessed the marketplace and discovered a growth market for his business in direct mail fundraising. He never looked back. Today he is one of Canada's leading specialists in the field. He has experience consulting with and working on direct mail programs with hospitals and health facilities. While running and developing his business, Howard Golberg has served several community organizations, including being on the Board of Directors of the YMCA and the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Howard is a regular contributor to publications and is often called upon to speak at industry functions. |
